I am directed to inform you, with reference to the
charges which have been brought against you, that His Excel-
lency the Governor has suspended you from the exercise of
your office with effect from the 21st December.
2. His Excellency proposes to recommend to the Secre-
tary of State for the Colonies that you shall be dismissed
from the public service. In the meantime, pending the noti-
fication of the decision of the Secretary of State in the
matter, you will be permitted to draw half salary and full
house allowance.
